Israel delivers food, tents and medicine to Syrian civilians
Over the past week, Israel delivered humanitarian aid to Syrian civilians across the border of the Golan Heights as part of its Operation “Good Neighbor”, the IDF said on Thursday. Although the locations of the aid were unspecified in the IDF’s statement, it’s believed that civilians in Quneitra, a thin, crescent-shaped province that lies along the buffer zone with the Golan Heights, were among the recipients. The IDF delivered 72 tons of food, approximately 70 tents, 9,000 liters of fuels, pallets of medicine and medical equipment and pallets of clothing and toys as part of six special operations in several locations in south west Syria. “The IDF continues its assistance to the Syrian tent camps in the Syrian Golan Heights. In these camps, located adjacent to the border with Israel, are thousands of Syrians, living in poor conditions without access to water, electricity, food or basic necessities,” a statement from the IDF said on Thursday.
