Pressure mounts on Trudeau as second minister resigns
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been embroiled in scandal over the last month. The “SNC-Lavalin affair,” in which Trudeau’s office allegedly pressured former Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould to not pursue a trial for the Montreal-based engineering company, SNC-Lavalin, has dominated headlines for weeks. SNC-Lavalin was charged for fraud and bribery in Libya by the RCMP. Since this news broke, things have gone from bad to worse for the Prime Minister. Trudeau’s reticence at addressing the subject has certainly not helped.
